Description
David, king of Scots, has approved, ratified and confirmed all the donations, purchases, and wadsets, the lands of Craignish, Melfort, Strachur, Cowal, 'Kyldachanane', and other lands and rents in Argyll, made to his beloved and faithful Gillespie son of Colin Campbell; holding in feu and heritage, as contained in all the charters or letters; saving his service. He also grants the same Gillespie all the liberties and customs that his ancestor (progenitor) Duncan Macdowne in the barony of Lochawe (ARG). He also grants Gillespie half of the relief which would fall due if he is succeeded by an heir of full age.
