- David, king of Scots, has inspected a testimonial document under the seals of venerable fathers in Christ William, bishop of St Andrews, Alexander, bishop of Aberdeen, Alexander, bishop of Ross, and John, abbot of Dunfermline. [The aforesaid bishops and abbot (dated 21 Oct. 1362 at Inverness) inspect letters of King Alexander III dated at Kintore 29 March regnal year 36 (1285) to the Friars Preachers of Elgin of various rents from the ferme of Elgin = RRS, iv, no. 154; H1/8/147] The king confirms this, saving his service.
