Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved relative William, earl of Douglas, the land of Wester Balmonth (FIF), which was John of Gordon's, and which John resigned by staff and baton at Edinburgh on 14 Jan. AD 1369 [sic]; holding by the earl and his heirs and assigns, in feu and heritage, as freely as John held it before his resignation, for one rose annually on the Feast of the Nativity of John the Baptist if requested, as blanchferme.
