Description
David, king of Scots, has given his beloved and faithful James Douglas, knight, the land of Leaths in the barony of Buittle (KCB) in the sheriffdom of Dumfries, which is in the king's hands because William, earl of Douglas, granted it to Sweetheart abbey at mortmain without the king's consent and licence; holding in feu and heritage, for service owed and wont.
