Description
Walter of Moray, son of Hugh of Moray, has given, granted and by this charter established, to Peter the chaplain celebrating for the souls of his father and his mother, and his whole kindred, and all the deceased faithful, in the church of St Peter at Duffus, and his successor priests established to celebrate for the deceased, for their maintenance, in pure and perpetual alms, one croft and toft by those bounds which he [Walter] walked and measured by John of Ogston, his steward [senescallus], in the presence of Andrew, bishop of Moray, and others; to be held with common pasture for one horse and four cows.
