Description
Walter, archbishop of York, to Alexander, king of Scotland, that he has established by authority of his metropolitan election of Sir Henry, formerly abbot of Holyrood, as bishop of Whithorn, and so that he might be received by king, Walter asks him to establish election according to ecclesiastical liberty [and] king's approved custom.
