Description
Hugh, bishop of Lincoln, for Holyrood Abbey; with assent of William, dean, and chapter, has granted and given 20 marks yearly in name of a perpetual benefice from church of [Great] Paxton, which is of his patronage, 6 marks which formerly they used to receive, to be handed to sacrist of Lincoln by those who shall be instituted by bishop in church, and shall bear its due and accustomed charges, and sacrist shall pay said 20 marks, with any sum that may be due for default of payment, to canons of Edinburgh or their messenger.
