Description
William, bishop of St Andrews, for Newbattle Abbey; confers, grants and establishes donation which Lady Elena de la Zouche, daughter of late Sir Roger de Quincy, made of church of Heriot (MLO). At resignation of rector the abbey is to have full rights, except bishop's right of presentation to vicarage. The vicar's portion is £20 and 20 acres of land. The stipend is to be paid by abbot at two terms, and bishop has right to sequester teinds of parish to enforce payment.
