Description
Odo, dean of Christianity of Glassary, and Maurice, chaplain of the parish church of St Finan (Kilfinan, ARG), recite letters of Sir Laurence, bishop of Argyll, commanding Odo to receive unto him with Maurice, chaplain of the church of St Finan, the lords Brice and William, fellow monks of Paisley, procurators of the lords abbot and convent of Paisley, to the corporeal possession of the church of St Colmanel in Kintyre (Kilcalmonell, ARG) and the chapel of ‘Chypehinche’, its dependent, saving his fourth and the episcopal procurations and ordinary charges, and the portion assigned to the vicar. By the authority of this mandate, Odo and Maurice institute and bring into the corporeal possession of the abbot and convent of Paisley the said church with the named chapel on Sunday, before the Nativity of the BVM. In addition, they also inspect papal letters to the said religious concerning the grant of the said church of St Colmanel (not specified).
