Description
David, bishop of St Andrews, for Holyrood Abbey; has granted churches of Holyrood of Edinburgh (MLO), [Edinburgh] Castle (MLO), St Cuthbert (MLO), Airth (STL), 'villa Leving' (Livingstone, WLO), Kinneil (WLO), Whitekirk (Hamer, ELO), Carriden (WLO), Tranent (ELO), Bathgate (WLO), Bolton (ELO), 'Egl[esbyrth]', which is today called Varia capella (Falkirk, STL), Mount Lothian (MLO), Pentland (MLO), with garbal teinds of church of Kinghorn with three acres of land which William, his predecessor, assigned to them through Ralph, dean of Lothian. He also establishes composition between William and the canons concerning presentation of vicarages and procurations.
