Summary of a charter by King Alexander assigning the suit of fourteen davochs of land in Lennox: Bonhill, Balloch, Shanacles, Kilmaronock, Colquhoun, Kilpatrick, Duntocher, ‘Manekinbrede’ (now Boquhanran [NS 4971] in Old Kilpatrick), Drumry, Garscube, Gartconnell, Meikle Auchincloich, Little Auchincloich (both obsolete, in New Kilpatrick), and Kilmannan.
