Description
Abbot William and convent of Arbroath for Andrew, son of Alexander the baker, have given the chief building (edifice) of their land in villa of Crail (FIF), that is, land situated next to land of king on one side, and land of Sir Nicholas de Haya on other side, saving abbot's regality in land and providing when they shall come there hospitality, white candles, salt, fuel and beds. Finally, Andrew and his heirs shall not sell, assign, pledge or transfer any of lands without special licence of the abbey.
