Description
Abbot William and convent of Arbroath for Hugh called 'Heem' (uncle); have, for his homage and service and for resignation of his rights in lands of Mearns (KCD) and mill of Conveth (Laurencekirk, KCD), which once belonged to Lady Richenda, daughter and heir of Humphrey de Berkeley, the land of 'Latham' in the shire of Arbroath (Letham Grange, ANG), saving abbot's regality in lands. It is not permitted for Hugh to assign or give land at feuferme to any other great potentates, earls, barons or knights, without special licence of abbey.
