Description
Prior John and chapter of St Andrews for Duncan of Ramsey; with consent of David, bishop of St Andrews, have granted license to have a chapel on his land of Clatto (FIF) in their parish of Lathrisk (FIF). The chaplain will serve before he shall undertake to celebrate in same; he shall also fulfil his oath to mother church. If anyone should be found to have violated this and found guilty by qualified witnesses, chapel will cease divine celebrations until such time that Duncan shall make full satisfaction for all manner of damages to mother church. Duncan has bound himself to pay one pound of frankincense, in recognition of his rights, due yearly at fair of St Andrews.
