Description
Prior John and convent of St Andrews make known that since David, of pious memory, and William, kings of Scotland, and Robert and Richard, bishop of St Andrews, had given to St Andrews the abbey of céli Dé in Loch Leven, the priory, at council of Sir Gamelin, their bishop, and with consent of chapter, has given to Loch Leven whole island of St Serf situated in that loch with rights to fishing there and all rights within barony of Kirkness, with Auchmuir (FIF) and Ryelaw (FIF) and all its pertinents and with teinds of same villa, and cain of Bogie (FIF), Balchrystie (FIF), Markinch (FIF) and Auchmuty (FIF) and all teinds of church of Portmoak (KNR), except garbal teinds. The prior shall choose a chaplain to serve church of Portmoak to answer for cure of souls and all ordinary burdens besides small procurations concerning bishop; St Andrews shall choose prior of island from among chapter or island and present him to bishop
