- Description
- The prior and convent of Whithorn make known that since abbot and convent of Dryburgh have constituted and ordained their procurators to collect fruits, payments and obventions of churches of Sorbie (i.e, church of St Michael, Little Sorbie, WIG) and 'Kirkfolan' (i.e., church of St Fillan at Great Sorbie, WIG), prior and convent promise and bind themselves to pay to procurators 20 marks annually at feast of Assumption of the BVM, at Dryburgh, without further delay. If it happens that payment of money fails, prior and convent promise to pay to master ½ mark [towards?] fabric of church of Dryburgh for penance. They subject themselves to observation of these things by the jurisdiction of the lord bishop or his archdeacon
