Duncan, earl of Fife, announces that he was present when Ness son of William gave the church of Leuchars (FIF) to St Andrews Priory in free and perpetual alms, with his body and for the welfare of his soul, with all just pertinents. He notes (innotesco) that he heard this donation in person.

The charter explicitly states that the witnesses were present. This charter follows a very similar wording to two documents asserting the presence of Orabilis, daughter of Ness (3/18/8), and Matthew, bishop of Aberdeen (2/1/4), respectively. The three charters mention the same witnesses and were evidently produced on the same occasion.
