Description: Colbán, earl of Fife, with the consent and wish of Anna, his spouse, has given, granted and by his charter established to Master William Wishart for his homage and service his whole land of ‘Glensalauch in the Mearns’ (prob. Glensaugh, Fordoun ph., KCD) with pertinents without any reservation, for Master William and his heirs or assignees in feu and heritage, as freely as he holds that land of Alan Durward and as the same Sir Alan holds it of the lord king in chief, making forinsec service to the lord king as pertains to that land for all custom, service and secular exaction.
