Description
Ada de Curtenay, daughter of Patrick (I) earl of Dunbar, in her legal power, has given, granted, and established by her charter, to Kelso Abbey in free, pure and perpetual alms, a certain piece of land in her free marriage-portion in the territory of Hume (BWK), namely, that land which lies on the south side of the Eden Water. She wills that the monks shall have the land with its free exits and common easements of the villa of Hume.
