Description
William, abbot of Arbroath, and the convent of Arbroath, for Peter of Ceres; have given a full toft in burgh of Arbroath in barony, that is, toft which was formerly William Chauncel’s, which lies between land of Hugh of Fowlis on west side, for 6d. annually at fair of Montrose. If Peter dies before his wife Christina, they will and grant that Christina shall have said toft in her lifetime, and that after her death, it may return to Peter’s heirs.
