Patrick, knight, son and heir of Sir Patrick earl of Dunbar and Cecilia daughter of John, promises truthfully and by this script binds himself (me astringo) that neither he nor anyone of his name will at any time in his life inconvenience abbot and convent of Kelso Abbey with lands he holds, neither in spiritualities nor in temporalities.
