Description
Patrick, earl of Dunbar, for Coldstream Priory; has granted, given, and by his present charter established, one ploughgate of land in Old Hirsel (BWK), with pertinents, that is, ploughate which Walter called ‘chaplain’, son of Walter, son of Thomas the knight of Darnchester, held of earl hereditarily, and which Walter gave back and resigned and quitclaimed by staff and baton (per fustum et baculum), in earl’s full court, for default of service owed him from land.
