Description
Euphemia the countess, spouse of late Patrick earl of Dunbar, for Dryburgh Abbey; in time of her widowhood, and constituted in her legitimate power, has granted to God and St Mary and fabric of church of Dryburgh that gift which her lord Patrick the earl made and assigned to works of church, namely, of 1 mark from ferme of Birkenside (BWK) from her free marriage-portion in perpetuity. She wills that after her death, alms may be assigned as a pittance for convent on day of her anniversary.
