Description
Earl Patrick son of Patrick son of Patrick earl of Dunbar has granted and established by his charter to God and St Cuthbert and to Prior Henry and the monks of Coldingham Priory the entire half of Billie (BWK) as their right, that is, the half between the two Restons and Auchencrow on one side and Chirnside and Blackburn on the other. As in the amicable settlement between his grandfather the lord Earl Patrick and Prior Thomas and the convent of Coldingham Priory, neither the earl nor his heirs nor any of his men or livestock will go into the Lord Prior’s part, and vice versa.
