Description
William, son of Patrick, has granted, and by his charter established, to Kelso Abbey, for himself and his heirs, that no injury shall come to their church of Greenlaw (BWK) because they have granted to him a chapel to have in his court at Greenlaw. The chaplain who shall serve the said chapel shall make sure that the mother church is not injured, but rather it shall receive all manner of oblations in full. It is happens that his chaplain does not serve the mother church faithfully, he wishes and grants that he be removed from that chapel by them.
