Description
Alexander Comyn [earl] of Buchan notifies that he has received at ferme from Bishop Gamelin of St Andrews his land of Ellon in Buchan (ABD), which the Scolocs of Ellon hold, having and holding for him and his two heirs procreated by him, in his whole lifetime, of the said bishop and his successors, for two marks annually, at Martinmas and Whitsun, making forinsec service pertaining to that land, and being sworn to the bishop and church of St Andrews, and providing maintenance for their goods and their sworn men. He wills and grants the said land of Ellon by its right bounds as the Scolocs now hold it, with all its pertinents to the bishop of St Andrews whose it will be for a time and to the church of St Andrews, wholly and without contradiction or reclamation.
