Description
Roland of Galloway, son of Uhtred, constable of the king of Scots, has given, granted, and established by his charter, to Kelso Abbey, in free, pure and perpetual alms, one saltworks at Loch Kindar (KCB) and easements of his wood sufficient to sustain the pans, and pasture for four oxen, and one horse, and one messuage, and a curtilage. He has taken the monks and their men who are residing in the aforesaid place into his firm peace and protection.
