Earl Gilbert of Strathearn has given, granted, and established by his charter, to Malcolm son of Earl Duncan (of Fife) with Matilda his daughter these lands, namely, Glendevon (PER), Carnbo (KNR), Aldie (KNR) and Fossoway (KNR) by their right boundaries and with their just pertinents, and Dalkeith (KNR) and ‘Pertinuer’ (now Solsgirth, KNR), by their right boundaries and with their just pertinents, in free marriage.
