Description
Pope Alexander III writes to Brother Gregory, bishop of Dunkeld, taking the church of Dunkeld with all its bishopric into his protection; all the possessions and goods which they have or may acquire by papal permission, by the liberality of kings or the gifts of the faithful, may remain with the bishop and his successors; including those liberties and immunities and customs of Scotland and including the canons’ right to choose bishops.
