Description
Pope Alexander III, by apostolic authority, has established the church of Great Paxton (Huntingdonshire), granted to Abbot William and the convent of Holyrood, with its chapels, adjacent lands, and other appurtenances, and decrees that no archbishop, bishop or archdeacon should dare to grant the parsonage of this church contrary to ancient custom and the addressees’ wishes, nor should anyone thus receive it.
