Description
Pope Lucius III commands the bishop of St Andrews and other bishops, abbots, priors, archdeacons, deans, and all the prelates of Scotland, to render justice to the prior and convent of St Andrews in regard to their tormentors, residing in their parishes, and not to relent until restitution is made for what has been taken. No divine offices should be celebrated where the pillaged goods are kept; and they should publicly proclaim those who violently abuse the aforementioned canons and their converse to be excommunicated until they present themselves before the pope with letters from the addressees.
