- William, earl of Mar, gives notice that he has received at ferme from St Andrews Priory that land in the parish of Tarland (ABD) which Earl Morgan his grandfather gave and granted to that priory in pure and perpetual alms, as attested by Morgan’s charter, except for four acres on the southeast side of the church assigned to the use of the vicar, for an annual rent of 4 marks, half at Martinmas and half at Whitsun. He wills and grants that this payment should come from his land of ‘Hachadgonan’ from the hand of the fermer of that land.
