Description
Pope Alexander [III] writes to all the archbishops, bishops, abbots, priors and other ecclesiastical prelates, noting the work done by the Knights Templars in defending the church, and, following the example of Honorius [II] and Innocent [II] his predecessors, he commands that no one in their parishes may presume to attack or retain any of their possessions, rents or other things, on pain of excommunication.
