Description
Pope Lucius III writes to Bishop Jocelin of Glasgow prohibiting that no one except the Roman pontiff or his legate a latere is allowed to promulgate a sentence of interdict, suspension, or excommunication during Jocelin’s lifetime against him or the church of Glasgow, and adds that if the forbidden sentences were promulgated, they would have no force.
