Description
Pope Lucius III has granted to Bishop Jocelin of Glasgow that if patrons of churches over which Jocelin has control do not present rectors within three months of a vacancy, the bishop if allowed to install suitable persons, without damage to the rights of the patrons or their heirs in the future. If someone is presented to the bishop by a patron, and is installed in a church, even if the patron loses his right of patronage the one presented cannot be removed at the instigation of someone else who controls the patronage.
