Description
Pope Alexander III has established to Abbot Roger and the church of St Mary of Dryburgh the church of St Cuthbert at Channelkirk (BWK), the teind of the mills of Lauder (BWK) and Saltoun (ELO) from the gift of David Olifard, and two oxgangs of land in Smailholm (ROX); in addition, he permits the right to celebrate divine office privately and quietly during a general interdict and prohibits him to take any man who presumes to commit rape or violent crimes within the circuit of the houses of their granges and the church.
