Pope Alexander III has established those possessions reasonably granted to Abbot Roger and the chapter of Dryburgh, namely, the church of Saltoun (ELO), one ploughgate in Smailholm (ROX) and a half ploughgate of land in ‘Nebrun’ (Maulds Meaburn, Westmorland), and the teinds from the mill in that villa.
