Description
Pope Innocent IV writes to the prelates of the Church, noting that by apostolic indult, the abbots, co-abbots and all the convents of the Cistercian order are immune from promulgations of sentences of excommunication, suspension or interdict against the abbots or their monasteries. Any sentences of excommunication, suspension and interdict promulgate on this occasion will not be valid.
