Description
Maeldomnaich, earl of Lennox, has given, granted, and established by this his charter, to Paisley Abbey, in pure, free and perpetual alms, one pastureland of Lennox on the north side of his land of ‘Backan’, as Ralph the chaplain of the lord king held it in his lifetime, by stated bounds. Moreover, he has granted to the same monks that they may have, hold and possess all their other lands in the earldom of Lennox, by their right bounds, as fully as they held them at the time of their granting or before.
