Pope Innocent IV indulges to the abbot and convent of Dunfermline that they shall not incur the greater excommunication should they or their household have dealings with excommunicate persons unless they have shared in the crime, certain ecclesiastical judges having presumed to fulminate sentences against persons for such conduct.
