Description
Pope Honorius III establishes to the abbot and convent of Arbroath the lands of Balfeith (KCD), ‘Glasker’ (KCD), the ferry boat of Montrose, with pertinent land, Mondynes (KCD), Garioch (ABD), four oxgangs of land in the territory of Catterline (KCD), two oxgangs of land in the territory of Rossie (ANG), land in ‘Portincrag’ (now Broughty Ferry, ANG) with the fishery, the land that is between the Auchter and Calder waters, the land of Bolshan (ANG), and Murdurno (ABD), and the annual rent of one mark collated to the abbey by Fergus, earl of Buchan, of good memory; also the toft and croft and two acres of land in the villa of Stracathro (ANG), the wood of Trustach (KCD), one davoch [of land] in the territory of Kingledoors (PEB), an annual rent of half a mark from the fishery of Meikleour (PER) and other goods which they justly and peaceably possess.
