Document 2/140/34 (Glas. Reg., no. 163)

Description
Pope Gregory IX writes to the bishop of Glasgow, noting how he had commissioned more clerics to an ecclesiastic benefice than was already provided for, which has greatly aggravated his church. He indulges, henceforth, that the bishop may not be summoned to the provision of another, unless mention is made of this indulgence.
