Description
John, cardinal priest of St Stephen in Celio Monte and papal legate, makes known that in the dispute moved between W[illiam], bishop of Glasgow, and Udard, knight of Hoddam, concerning the right of patronage of the church of Hoddam (DMF), which church and lands the bishop claims to belong to the church of Glasgow, the said knight, in the legate’s presence at the church of St Mary Magdalene of Lochmaben (DMF), on the fourth [day] after the octave of Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, resigned to the bishop all rights of patronage which he claims to have in the church of Hoddam.
