Document 2/139/98 (Scone Lib., no. 102)

Description
Pope Honorius III writes to the abbot and convent of Scone noting that since he has learned that J[ohn], of good memory, cardinal priest of St Stephen in Celio Monte, while he was legate in those parts, assigned the church of Carrington (MLO) which they have for their own uses, to repair Scone Abbey and its buildings, the pope establishes this and prohibits anyone from extorting teinds of gardens, brushwood or fodder for their animals.
