Description
Pope Innocent III writes to the bishop of St Andrews, the abbot of Arbroath, Thomas, prior of St Andrews, Ranulf, archdeacon of St Andrews, and Master Laurence, official of St Andrews, noting that although one, who is convened before a judge, has power to reconvene in a court; before arbiters one cannot be reconvened. Since arbitrators have no power to give judgement, unless regarding a submission brought before them.
