Description
Brother James, penitentiary of the lord pope and papal chaplain, has established the right of patronage of the church of Gullane (ELO), which the Nobleman William de Vaux granted to the canons of Dryburgh and their church of St Nicholas on the island of Elbottle, in free, pure and perpetual alms, as contained in the charter of William. No man is permitted to infringe or intend to contradict this; but if he shall presume to attack this, he shall incur the indignation of God and of Blessed Peter and Paul the apostles.
