Document 2/139/52 (King, IR 27, 57)

Description
Pope Honorius III writes to the abbot and convent of Coupar Angus, noting that the bishop of St Andrews, with the assent of his chapter, and by the wish of Alexander, king of Scots, patron of the church of St Medan (i.e. the church of Airlie), bestowed the said church on the abbot and convent so that they may pay £20 [to the chapter of Cîteaux] for procurations on the fourth day the General Chapter. The pope thus establishes this to the monastery.
