Pope Gregory X grants a faculty to the dean and chapter of Caithness to elect a fit person to be bishop, their election of Nicholas, abbot of Scone, in the diocese of St Andrews, having, on its bring presented to the pope by Master Henry of Nottingham, been cancelled on account of the abbot’s intolerable lack of learning.
