Pope Nicholas [III or IV] writes to the abbot of Balmerino, noting his petition that some monks and converts of the monastery, through violent hands and certain through the detention of others, had celebrated certain divine offices and received orders. The pope grants that the abbot may absolve these excommunicates according to the form of the church […incomplete].
