Document 2/144/23 (Moray Reg., no. 104)

Description
Pope Alexander IV writes to Archibald, bishop of Moray, noting his petition which stated that Andrew, bishop of Moray, his predecessor, and the chapter of Moray had established that the dean and other persons, together with canons of the same church, could make their residence there for a certain part of the year otherwise they may lose the seventh part of all profits, which should be given to those residents and servants of the church; the pope, by apostolic authority, establishes this to the bishop and chapter.
